Cleanest and nicest hostel I’ve ever stayed at! The kitchen & bathrooms were spotless, dorms were huge with AC and in-build lockers under the beds, and a multi-level terrace to enjoy the sunsets and view off the mountains! Can’t recommend the hostel more if you’re passing through the Slovenian mountains.

I hadn't planned to sleep in this hostel but the weather forced me to. And it was a real surprise! I felt right at home, everything is very clean and tidy. The dormitory was very bright and the beds provided comfort and privacy thanks to the curtain. The common room, which doubles as the kitchen, is very large and cosy, and also very well equipped. You can tell that the owners put their heart and soul into this place to make their guests feel at home. I could have stayed one more night!

I want to say a big THANK YOU to the hosts! We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed it. Super clean and comfortable, with a stylish interior. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location—close to shops and nature. There’s a big kitchen, a washing machine, and a beautiful terrace to relax on. They can also arrange paragliding. Highly recommend! And of course, we’ll be back! 😊

This is a heavenly and wonderful place for those who love peace, unity with nature and a family atmosphere. Very responsive and friendly hosts Anna and Yaroslav will not leave any request of guests without attention. The hostel is located in a very picturesque place, from where you can go hiking in incredibly beautiful places. And in the cozy garden in the mornings it is wonderful to drink coffee and listen to the birds singing. I wish prosperity to your home. I hope to see you soon.

Wow, hostel Kobarid is a hidden gem. It's one star is not a reflection on the amazing facilities.

Beds - clean comfortable and private with good facilities; charging, lovely linen and great storage.

Bathroom - very clean, well equipped and thought out. Separate toilets a great touch.

Kitchen - clean and well equipped, lots of space to sit and socialise, prepare and store food.

Relaxation - Amazing terraces, the team are doing a fabulous job restoring these to their former glory, amazing views over the town and surrounding area. Great choice of seating inside and out.

Overall one of our favourite places in Slovenia only wished we'd booked more nights to stay.

Staff were friendly and helpful.

Kobarid Hostel is a great place to stay. Anna and Yaro are truly welcoming, friendly, and above all, extremely kind. They're always there for their guests. The hostel is very clean, well-maintained, and beautiful. A must-visit!

Very beautiful and perfect for the elderly or very easy-going people. But beware there is a strict policy stating there must be silence after 22.00 the outside terrace is beautiful but again only available during daylight hours. If you intend to even just speak to your partner or friends after 22.00 you will get yelled at and you must know the owners of the establishment sleep in the attic and regularly patrol the hostel. So choose for yourself but in my opinion, you should only stay here if you know that you will be outside the hostel for the whole day and only come to sleep at night.

PS The showers are gender separated but completely see through for those in the bathroom
